Abstract

There are two kinds of order picking method which are order oriented and item oriented order picking method.
The order oriented picking method is populer for which sigle order picking or batch order picking are used.
The Item oriented picking method is that orders are assigned for grouped items in which each assigned order is filled.
This paper describes how to group the items and to assign orders based on EIQ analysis and order pattern.
This method is especially effective for order picking characteristics of many order and small quantity.
