Abstract

A new method for texture analysis has been put forward in this paper. According to measurements of the elastic modulus distribution of the plate, the essential information on the texture can be inferred by means of elastic anisotropy pattern of the crystal. The textures of titanium (hcp) and niobium (bcc) plates have been analyzed by this method. The results show no differences from those by the X-ray method.
