Dr. Gordana Pavlekovic from Zagreb, Yugoslavia talked to the curriculum study group (49th meeting) of the Japan Society for Medical Education, held in Tokyo, on December 19, 1986, on which Dr. N. Onodera, National Institute of Public Health, reported. The topic was on the primary health care and Yugoslavia. Dr. Pavlekovié was staying in Japan for 3 weeks to work for the JICA's 5-year project, “Continuing Education for Primary Health Care in Yugoslavia, ” which started in 1984. Medical educators in Japan and Yugoslavia are now in cooperation for the success of this difficult project to improve continuing medical education for health workers. The talk. by Dr. Pavlekovié was planned to supply information of primary health care system in Yugoslavia to Japanese educators.
