On information science education for students belonging to mathematics course in university

Analysis for correlation coefficients between scores of exams of mathematics and programing

Abstract

In order to educate students having ability to survive sophisticated information society we try to find how mathematic education in university contributes information science education. As the first step of this research we evaluated correlation coefficients between scores in exams of lectures concerning with programing and basic mathematics. In this report we show conclusions obtained from these evaluations and provide a list of further research tasks.
