Abstract
Lethal and knockdown effects of several insecticides to the drugstore beetle, Stegobium paniceum which is one of Cephalonomia gallicola's hosts, were examined in the laboratory. Fenitrothion showed the most effectiveness among the five tested insecticides by the topical application method. On the contrary, dichlorvos was less effective to the others. In the film contact test, dichlorvos showed very quick knockdown effect in comparison with the other insecticides. Permethrin, propoxur and MTMC showed the remarkable effects in comparison with the organophosphorus insecticides except dichlorvos.
