Abstract

We collected Corcyra cephalonica (Stainton, 1865) from a factory in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on May 2, 2013. We also observed larvae in a factory on June 5, 2013. The seasonal abundance of adult C. cephalonica was monitored using a pheromone trap from early June in 2013 to early May in 2014. Adult C. cephalonica appeared from June to November in 2013 and peaked in August. In contrast, adults disappeared from December to March and re-appeared in April. The Kanagawa strain of C. cephalonica moth has been established in the Technical Research Laboratory, IKARI Corporation.
