A Study on Grammatical Trends in English Newspaper Articles〜 Focusing on Articles on Scientific and Technological Field〜

Abstract

Absaract At National Institute of Technology, Miyakonojo College(Miyakonojo Kosen), students are required to take English Composition class and English Grammar class during the first two years，through which they leam basic English grammar and grammatical expressions including English usage. In order to make process more efficient，the tegularly see what grammatical items are practically used in daily liver and to prioritize those items to be appropriately presented to the students, since their studying time is limited. This paper descrides what kinds of grammatical items and expressions are frequently used in English newspaper articles, which I hope would help the teaching staff organize more leamer-friendly teaching programs. In the precedent paper. I studied grammatical trends trends in the articles on general topics such as political issues and cultural events.
