In the present study, influence of temperature and partial pressure of carbon dioxide onto Shirasu-based materials with calcination and solution pretreatment were investigated. The adsorption amounts reached maximum value for 10 min at all the temperature, and did not significantly depend on the temperature. The amount over 10 min was steady or slightly increased at 298 K. On the other hand, the amount gradually increased with increasing adsorption time at 313 K, while the amount slightly decreased at 333 K with increasing the adsorption time probably due to tendency to decrease the adsorption amount at high temperature. The adsorption amount also depended on partial pressure of carbon dioxide, and decreased with decreasing the partial pressure. From the result of the DRIFT spectra, carbon dioxide molecules were adsorbed on the Shirasu-based material at all the temperatures and partial pressures. Consequently, the results suggest that the adsorption temperatures and the partial pressures of carbon dioxide did not influence on the adsorption state of carbon dioxide on the Shirasu-based material but influenced on the adsorption amount.
