Two cases of spondylolisthesis, a 63 year-old male and 61 year-old female, with marked spondylotic changes were reported. Progressive sensory and motor disturbances appeared in their legs and their walk was very unstable. The male patient had a dysfunction of the bladder and rectum as well.
According to the clinical, electromyographical and roentgenological examinations, the causes of their paralysis were thought to be a pressure on the nerve roots and cauda equina. Laminectomy for the female patient and laminectomy with spinal fusion for the male patient were performed with satisfactory recoveries.
