A case of eosinophilic granuloma in the left clavicula is reported.
A boy aged 4. was admitted to our clinic on August 1972, complaining of pain and swelling in the left clavicular region. The rentogenographic examination revealed a round lytic lesion of the cortex in the proximal end of clavicula with excessive periosteal reaction. At operation the cortex showed partial destruction although pathological fracture was not seen. The lesion was completely removed and its appearance was a raddish-tan solid granulation. Smears and culuture of curettage material were negative for pathogens. Pathological diagnosis was eosinophilic granuloma. Five month after surgery a radiograph showed the lesion to have healed almost completely.
