Gold-maintenance Therapy in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Abstract

Since the first report of Lande who, in 1927, reported benefit from the use of gold thioglucose in 14 patients, gold salts have been used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis for approximately fifty years. Nevertheless, the definite method of maintenance therapy has not been constituted.
So we selected 47 cases and discussed the way of maintenance therapy.
