Pycnodysostosis is a rare hereditary bone abnormality charactarized by increased bone density, short stature, hypoplasia of the mandible, dysplasia of skull bones, partial aplasia of the terminal phalanges, and increased tendency toward pathological fractures.
Recently we encountered a case of pycnodysostosis, a twenty-five-year-old female, associated with closed femoral-shaft fracture.
