Abstract
Brace treatment of idiopathic scoliosis is so difficult as to say the importance of early treatment. There are many drop out patients from the treatment of Milwaukee brace.
We used under arm brace (Tokushima University type), and together it with home traction which is made by ourselves. Seven cases of idiopathic scoliosis (31° to 50° curvature) had casting following Cotrel dynamic hospital traction and after that had under arm brace with home traction. Corrective ratio was 31.5%. Six cases (from 20 to 30 curvature) had only under arm brace with home traction. Corrective ratio was 35.5%.
