From May, 1979, We examined 28 injured ankle joints by means of stress roentgenograms and arthrograms. Of 28 ankle joints, 6 cases were treated surgically. Indication for surgical treatment is as follows:
1. Positive leakage of the contrast medium into the peroneal tendon sheath.
2. Marked talar tilt and positive anterior drawer test.
3. Painful, unstable ankle joints.
In almost all cases, good results were obtained.
