Three cases of contracture of the deltoid muscle.
Its diagnosis is relatively easy according to the following criteria.
(1) Deformity of the shoulder.
(2) Past history of injection to the deltoid muscle.
(3) Palpation of the cord mass at the deltoid muscle.
We treated as follows.
(1) Release operation.
(2) Immobilization by applying a sling for two weeks.
(3) Apparatus for immobilization of the scapula.
