Abstract
Twenty-three cases of fracture of the humerus were treated by open reduction and internal-fixation.
Ten cases healed primarily, but thirteen did not. They were salvaged by bone grafting and internal-fixation. Theree of them were added mobilization of the elbow or neurolysis of the radial nerve futhermore. The results of the surgery were not so satisfactory in the cases of open fracture and compound fracture.
