103 cases (106 joints) of malleolar fracture of the ankle were treated during past nine years in our hospital.
67 cases (70 joints) were followed-up for more than six months and their prognosis was studied.
The results were good in 49 joints, fair in 14 joints and poor in 7 joints.
We conclude that anatomical reduction, rigid internal fixation and eary joint movement are the principal points of treatment to prevent secondary osteoarthritis.
