We experienced two cases of leiomyosarcoma of the subcutaneous tissue.
First case was a seventy-two-year-old male. He had a nodule in his left buttock that was histologically revealed leiomyosarcoma of the subcutaneous tissue. A wide excision and postoperative chemotherapy were done. The local recurrence, however, occurred and finally he died with the pulmonary metastasis. Second case was a thirty-four-year-old male. He suffered with an ulcerated nodule of his right dorsal foot. That was histologically evaluated as subcutaneous leiomyosarcoma. Syme amputation was performed. He is alive at 4 months after operation without chemotherapy.
