膝外傷に対する超音波検査

We examined 27 patients with ligament or meniscal knee injuries by arthroscopy and ultrasonography. Of these, 15 were anterior cruciate ligament ruptures, 6 posterior cruciate ligament ruptures, 14 meniscal ruptures, 6 medial collateral ligament ruptures, and one lateral collateral ligament rupture.
The aim of this comparative study was to demonstrate that the normal and pathological findings of the ligament and meniscus can be visualized on an ultrasonogram. We used a standardized examination method, scanning the cross-section of the menisci and the tangential section of ligaments, with a 5MHz linear electronic transducer.
Ultrasonography should be recommended as a primary diagnostic tool due to its noninvasive nature, and accessibility.
