Abstract
We studied sports injuries in Miyazaki Prefecture. 6761 patients presented to doctors for sports injuries over the last two years. 70% of patients played ballgames and more than 60% of patients had lower leg (ankle, foot), wrist (hand finger) and knee joint injuries. Almost all patients were treated conservatively, with only 4.8% received surgical treatment. 97% of patients could practice sports again following treatment.
