Triangular crossed pinning is a method of biomechanical internal fixation for pertrochanteric fractures of the femur using M. K. pins, which are inserted along the compression and tensile trabeculae of the femoral neck.
The operative procedure is simple and surgical intervention is small so that even elderly and risky patients can be treated by this method.
