The results of conservative and surgical treatment were evaluated in 50 patients with cervical sprain. Injuries were classified as sprain (21cases), sprain+Barr'e (17cases), radicular (6cases), medullary (5cases), and Barr'e-Lieou (1case). A questionnaire was used to follow-up these patients to which 18 of the 50 patients responded.
Of these, one-third had residual symptoms of neck pain and headache, but almost all patients had returned to work. However one-half of these patients were not satisfied with their compensation.
