The schwannoma is the most commomly occurring spinal tumor, but bone destruction caused by schwannoma is rarely reported. We experienced a giant schwannoma which caused bone destruction in the sacral region and report on the diagnosis and treatment of this case.
The patient an 83 year-old female who deueloped sacral pain in March 1993. The sacral tumor was discoverd by CT at another hospital in September 1994. She was diagnosed as hawing a schwannoma by biopsy, so was adnitted to our hospital for sutgery. MRI had identhed that the tumor was about 5cm and was located in S1 and S2, but it had not progressed to Note to author. What do you mean by kotubankuu. Do you mean.
