A case of metastatic carcinomatosis of the bone marrow with hyperphosphatasia is reported.
Even if patients with marked hyperphosphatasia have no symptom and no abnormal findings of skeletal radiographs, it is possible that their hyperphosphatasia is caused by metastatic carcinomatosis of the bone marrow due to adenocarcinoma.
Bone scintigram is useful for the diagnosis of metastatic carcinomatosis of the bone marrow.
