To deepen our knowledge of recent freshmen's diversified motivation to enter Colleges of Technology, a tentative scale examining those motivations was constructed and practiced in three colleges. Through factor analysis, a scale with 20 items for motivation to enter Colleges of Technology was constructed and its reliability and validity was checked. Entrance motivation tendencies between male students and female students, between day students and dormitory students, among colleges, and among specialties were also checked through some statistical analysis. The results suggest that female students and students who major in chemistry tend to want to change their way of life into the new circumstances, and decide to enter Colleges of Technology.
