The purpose of this paper is to examine the optimum mechanical equipment according to the business scale of forage production contractors. In the analysis, we assumed two large-sized and one small-sized harvesting work systems for management-independent contractors deployed in the flat areas of prefectures of Japan. The combination with the lowest cost per 10a was analyzed depending on the harvested area of corn WCS and rice WCS. As a result of the analysis, it was possible to quantitatively show the branch points and combinations regarding how to select the machine according to the harvest scale.
