Abstract

This study analyzed the reality of the large-scale paddy farming management in Hokkaido which develops under the price of rice falling and a policy change.
The profitability of the rice falls under the price of rice falling and a policy change at present. Therefore the planted acreage of the rice decreases at a large-scale rice paddy area in Hokkaido.
Correspondence of large-scale paddy farming management is wrestling for low cost and land use advance, Management is being improved by Incorporated Cooperative farm management by more than one farmer, Transplanting Rice and the thing in which wheat and soybeans are planted.
But it's the present agricultural policy that large-scale farm management and an agricultural production corporation(Cooperative farm management)are being supported economically.
When these economical conditions were lost, it's a crisis for the regional agriculture which has trouble with successor's securement.
Rice paddy agriculture in Hokkaido shows that a structural change was developed by retire of an old farmer for an agricultural census in 2015.
Regional agriculture is supported with large-scale farm management and an agricultural production corporation(Cooperative farm management).It's future's problem to make the mechanism to succeed to the wealth of the regional agriculture to the next generation.
