There is a certain correspondence between the form and meaning of the verb copy structure. The semantic basis of the verb copy structure is information increment. From the syntactic and semantic point of view, the verb copy structure can also be called “information increment structure”. Each member of the structure has a certain degree of openness; with complement as the center, its semantic orientation can be: verb, object, subject and extra-sentence element. Through the semantic analysis of the “V+O+V+C” structure, it is concluded that its sentence meaning is the incremental expression of information, and its function is to highlight the discourse background and express the three-dimensional semantic relationship.
