This report deals with the problem of tissue characterization of coronary plaque. The ultrasound signals emitted from the intravascular ultrasound catheter to the plaque are used. In this study we have applied the bag-of-keypoints to this tissue characterization problem. The proposed method could clearly capture the structure of each tissue by using the frequency spectra-based histogram. The experiments showed that the results of the proposed method are easier to capture the structure of each tissue than the results by the 2D frequency histogram method proposed by the authors before.
