Abstract

Photography arose in Europe and developed as a film industry in the United States, it has been established as a digital industry in Japan. In this technological history, author will do a review of the concept and the innovation that led the flow of the photographic industry. As a first step, we focus on the beginning of the emulsion era in the United Kingdom of the 1870s. Industry of photographic plates was creating by the high speed technology named Ostwald ripening which was found during the development of the dry emulsion pellicle based on the proposal of a portable emulsion.
