Development of Canon’s Digital SLR Camera：EOS-1D X Mark II

Abstract

The EOS-1D X Mark II is the latest model of the-top-of- the-line digital single-lens reflex camera, the EOS-1D series. It features the key devices such as a full-frame CMOS sensor with approx. 20.2 effective megapixels and the Dual DIGIC 6 ＋ image processor, the AE system with a new approx. 360,000 pixel metering sensor, the AF system having evolved up to 61-points that all support f/8, and the high-speed continuous shooting of approx. 14.0 shots/sec. (approx. 16. 0 shots/sec. in Live View shooting), all of which make this camera a carrier of the state-of-the-art technologies and highest-grade mechanisms and performances. Moreover, it also is strengthening its wireless communication functions while incorporating the movie shooting features such as 4K 60P and High frame rate Full HD 120 p movies.
