Abstract
In recent years, a life cycle assessment (LCA) has been noteworthy as an excellent technique. And now, turning to the sludge flow from a viewpoint of environmental control, we cannot completely treat the sludge in the sewage treatment system, that is, in the process of sludge treatment there is another troublesome problem that we must return a treated water to the sewage treatment process. Therefore we need to conduct the optimum design in which sludge is at the core of sewage treatment system by applying the idea like a LCA to sludge. In this paper, we conduct the introductory examination on an optimum transport pathway of sludge recycled as an environmental resources by using a linear programming. An optimum pathway can be indicated by taking up three typical sludge transport pathways and conducting a comparative examination.
