139. A Fusulinid Fossil from Chin-choun District, Kuangtung Province

Abstract

Last summer Mr. Michio KAWATA sent to Prof. T. KOBAYASHI two thin sections of fusulinid limestone obtained at Shi-huei-yao-tzu, Ta-wei-chia-tunn, Chin-chou district, Kuangtung province. According to K AWATA'S observation at the locality, the Tonfangiae limestone is overlain by a fine clay bed 4.5m. paraconformably. The bed is followed upward by a yellowish shale bed 17m. thick, a limestone layer 1.5m. thick and a sandy shale formation. The thin sections of the limestons was kindly transferred me for study.
