The present condition of the machine tool industry of Japan is running the top in the world with the quantity of production for 22 years. Asian nations, such as South Korea, Taiwan, and China, have come to compete with Japan and Germany by the low–cost machine. In order for Japan to continue protecting the top′s post in the future, it is necessary to consider high speed, high precision, and multi functions, productivity and a floor space as a keyword. Based on high technology, it is necessary to develop a machine tool.
