Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate effects of alloying elements for mechanical properties of high strength basic weld deposit as-welded.
High strength basic electrodes having the combination of alloying elements based on L8(27) orthogonal array table were made and these mechanical properties were measured.
Analyzing these measured mechanical properties of test electrodes, the authors calculated Ceq for mechanical properties (yield point, tensile strength, elongation, impact value) of high strength basic weld deposit as-welded, and searched for equations between Ceq and values of the mechanical properties of weld deposits.
The results obtained are as follows ;
Ceq(Y.P)=C+0.08Si+0.17Mn+0.06Ni+0.11Cr+0.27Mo
Ceq(T.S)=C+0.07Si+0.10Mn+0.04Ni+0.11Cr+0.14Mo
Ceq(EL)=C+0×Si+0.07Mn+0.05Ni+0.05Cr+0.11Mo
Ceq(E0)=C+0.13Si+0.01Mn+0.02Ni+0.20Cr+0.16Mo
Ceq(E-40)=C+0.28Si-0.02Mn+0.04Ni+0.27Cr+0.13Mo
Y.P(kg/mm2)=27.2+64.4Ceq(Y.P)
T.S(kg/mm2)=26.6+135Ceq(T.S)
EL(%)=37.6-43.1Ceq(EL)
E0(kg-m/cm2)=32.7-62.6Ceq(E0)
E-40(kg-m/cm2)=18.4-32.8Ceq(E-40)
