Abstract
Temperature variation of any point of thick mother plate due to the linear moving heat source is calculated from the newly derived fundamental equation reported in literature (1). Temperature curves are compared with those due to the instantaneously delivered line heat source.
Fig. 12 shows the temperature curves near bead ends and we see the differences of temperatures of starting and stopping sides compared with that of infinite velocity.
