We developed an X-ray fluorescence analyzer using a line-focus X-ray optical element. This X-ray optical element uses X-ray total reflection and can irradiate X-ray in high efficiency to samples such as fiber. We analyzed hair samples using this device, with the result that we were able to measure the quantities of calcium which changed from hair root to tip of hair.
