Thermoluminescence characteristics of CaSO4: Tm (UD-100 M 8) elements were examined for α-rays from 241Am source to discuss a method for evaluating the energy absorbed by lung organization due to radon daughters using thermoluminescence dosimeters. As there are to some extent sensitivity difference among the elememts, it is necessary to make correction for the measured value by a factor determined for each element. It was found that the measured value was extremely well proportional to the absorbed energy of α-rays.
