Abstract

We measured radioactive nuclides in cover gas of the primary containment vessel by using an ionization chamber, germanium detector and liquid scintillation counter.
We verified radionuclides, ³⁷Ar, ³H, ¹⁴C, ¹³N, and ²²²Rn.
We have not been noticed the existence of ³⁷Ar until this study, but the major nuclide in the gas is ³⁷Ar, and ⁴⁰Ca (n, a) ³⁷Ar is considered as it's formation reaction.
