The article considers an estimation problem of repairable units. The failure time of each unit follows a Weibull distribution and units are imperfectly repaired on failures. The parameters of a Weilbull distribution and maintenance effects are estimated by maximum likelihood method. A new search technique is presented. Simulation is used to illustrate the accuracy of the proposed method.
