Objective: To elucidate factors determining whether care managers accurately understand services provided by home-visit rehabilitation professionals. Methods: We conducted a questionnaire survey of home-visit rehabilitation professionals (physical and occupational therapists) and care managers who were handling the same cases. We assigned scores based on accuracy of understanding in 19 home-visit rehabilitation service categories, and divided participants into high-and low-matching score groups. Using scores as the dependent variable and individual and coordinated behavior factors as independent variables, we performed binomial logistic regression analysis. Results: After analyzing 55 pairs, we found that 4 variables significantly influenced matching scores: whether the care manager's office was located at the same site as that of the home-visit rehabilitation service provider (odds ratio [OR]: 24.720; the same site = high matching score), whether the care manager could consult with the home-visit rehabilitation professionals at the client's home during service (OR: 12.128; presence of opportunities = high matching score) or at their own office (OR: 0.034; low matching score), and the age of home-visit rehabilitation professionals (OR: 0.126; younger age = high matching score). Conclusion: Locations, consulting opportunities, and interprofessional training are important factors for care managers’ accurate understanding of information about provided home-visit rehabilitation services.
