In this study, walking abilities of one hundred hemiplegic patients were analyzed using six factors and also the relationship between those and the score of Postural Reflex Mechanism Testing (PRMT) was examined. There were no statistical differences between the sexes, the affected sides, and among the causes of hemiplegia. While, significant differences were seen between the ages and the durations after stroke, having the boundary of seventy-year-old and six months, respectively (p<0.05). There were also significant differences among Brunnstrom stages of the lower extremities (p<0.001) with a prominent deviation at the stage III. Significant correlation between the score of PRMT and walking ability was seen at both affected side and unaffected one (p<0.001), which indicated the possibility of PRMT to give speculation of the walking ability of a patient.
