Abstract

Aneurysms of the popliteal artery are most common in the periphral arterial aneurysms, and the majority is the aneurysm associated with arteriosclerosis. Reports of the popliteal pseudoaneurysm are rare in Japan and those are traumatic.
We experienced two cases of popliteal pseudoaneurysm, one was caused by the stab wound associated with sepsis and the genesis of the other one was unknown.
Both cases were diagnosed by CT scan and angiography, and CT scan seemed to be more important in the diagnosis of this disease.
