Abstract
We present a case of primary malignant lymphoma of the ileocecum. A 28-year-old man was seen at the hospital because of severe anemia and a right lower quadrant mass. By abdominal ultrasonography and computed tomography, a solid mass about 20cm in diameter was found at right hypogastric region. Barium enema and endscopy showed a submucosal tumor at the ileocecum. Biopsy could not offer the definite diagnosis but malignant lymphoma of the ileocecum was suspected. Right hemicolectomy includ-ing the ileocecum was performed. There was a little brown transparent ascites. The mass was 27×17cm in size and 1800g in weight. We diagnosed it with diffuse midium-sized type lymphoma pathologically. The cytodiagnosis of the ascites was class V. Chemotherapy with CHOP 6 times was added. He is doing well without any recurrence now.
