A complex methodology, with radioactive tracer (technetium pertechnetate) followed by scintigraphy, was used to investigate and visualize energetic meridians in twenty healthy subjects from the Sportive Medicine Centre. The tracer was injected in both tonifiation and sedation points, with a 24 hours time period inbetween. Scintigraphic recordings obviously indicated migration of radioactivity along routes coinciding with integral energetic flow. In pathological states, the speed of tracer migration was altered and only portions of meridians could be visualised. The detection of entire acupuncture meridians in our study was explained by investigation of healthy sportsmen, with nondisturbed energesic flow.
