Abstract
The PtSn/SAPO-11 catalysts with different Sn/Pt ratio were prepared for the hydrogenation of methyl palmitate. The influence of Sn/Pt ratio on the deoxygenation activity and isomerization selectivity was investigated. The maximum deoxygenation activity was obtained over the ratio around 2, which is considered to be due to the synergistic effect of Pt and Sn. Isomerization selectivity was significantly improved by Sn addition. Furthermore, the PtSn catalysts can inhibit the decarbonylation and decarboxylation reaction pathway, and thus promote the hydrodeoxygenation reaction pathway.
