It is important to reflect the demands of citizens when creating a sustainable vision of the future society. In addition, it is necessary to implement specific activities to realize the vision of the future society. Therefore, the feasibility of the future social vision is also required.
In this study, as a part of the 2nd Takashima City Town Development Promotion Conference, which is an administrative project of Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, a sustainable regional future social image that is feasible and highly acceptable to citizens was created through the practice of a workshop program. The purpose of this study is to extract the requirements for the creation of the future social image by examining the creation process.
As a result, the aspect of solving regional issues through the utilization of regional resources such as forest resources that are deeply related to the formation of the region is strongly recognized in the creation of the future social image desired by citizens. It was found that the future social vision using these local resources presupposes the formation of local communities with accumulated social capital as the basis of activities.
