Abstract

JPMA, Japan Paint Manufacturers Association, adopts the major issue of “Environment, Safety and Health” as a main target and voluntarily promotes the introduction of ecological products to the market.
The following main themes have been taken up in order to contribute to the market in terms of integrated paint technology and know-how of coating materials and their application with the aim that our created eco-friendly products will provide important benefits for human health and the environment on a global scale.
A)Reduction of VOC
B)Conservation of natural resources
C)Ecological friendliness towards human health and the environment
D)Prevention of soil and air pollution
Taking this opportunity we will, as an example of saving technology, introduce our experimental testing of high solar reflectance coating in Thailand and then review recent technology in the field of energy saving anti-fouling paints as an example of how paint technologies can reduce greenhouse gas and fuel consumption.
