The changes in structural parameters of sericin due to hot air drying of cocoons have been studied using Ultra violet spectra method. The sericin present in the cocoon has been qualified depending upon the hot air drying method. The study reveals that hot air drying process hardens the sericin and reduces the dissolution of sericin during the process of cooking and reeling in case of lndian multi-bivoltine cocoons.
