Abstract
We report a rare case of cutaneous leiomyosarcoma (LMS) which arose in the auricle of a 77-year-old man. However its histopathological appearance resembled MFH, immunohistochemical results of positive stain for desmin, smooth-muscle actin and vimentin strongly supported the diagnosis of LMS. Although the tumor was considered to be a subcutaneous LMS from various aspects, which generally shows a worse prognosis, the patient survived 5 years after excision with minimal surgical margin.
